Main Duties

Empire Cosmic is looking for a Graphic Novel & Film Assistant – we’re a tiny creative group with big ambitions.

We work across graphic novels, fiction, and film, and launch in 2025.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing graphics for new manuscript releases, and formatting digital novels prior to publication.

• Posting content on social media, and responding to comments.

• Uploading draft graphic novel pages to Google Drive, checking materials for mistakes, and chasing artists for late submissions.

• Proofreading graphic novel scripts, and providing editorial feedback.

• Providing editorial feedback on short film scripts.

• Conducting research and feeding back to writers/producers.

• Assisting producers with any support needed throughout animation/live-action production processes.

• Coordinating digital events.

Skills and Experience Required

The ideal applicant will have the following:

• Brilliant graphic design skills, including familiarity with canva and adobe suite.

• An editorial eye, with the ability to analyse a graphic novel script or novel manuscript with thoughtfulness and creativity.

• Amazing organisational and coordination skills, able to wrangle freelance artists and ensure all materials are submitted on time.

• Some knowledge of marketing/PR and promotion.
